The Arlington is recruiting for a hospitality focused MDS Director to join our team! The MDS Director is an RN who is responsible for directing the overall supervision, coordination, maintenance and timely completion of the MDS, care plans and medical records for residents.
Salary: Starting at $82,000.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a MDS Director:
- Using clinical skills, the MDS Director coordinates, conducts, and completes the MDS, resident care plans and conferences on the computerized system.
- Assures accuracy and completeness of entire medical record.
- Assures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.
- Ensures MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations.
- Participates in family/resident care plan conferences.
- Directs MDS department staff.
- Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
- Educates nursing staff on documentation requirements for reimbursement.
- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, triple check, QA, and PPS
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- At least 2 years of experience in skilled nursing MDS.
- RN currently licensed by State of Florida.
- Current CPR certification.
- In- depth experience and knowledge working with MDS computer software required.
- Experience with the MDS transmittal process and understanding of regulations impacting the MDS required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
